Thing 1, Blogger. The instructions made it fairly simple to set up this blog. I can see the attraction for people to share comments but I do wonder where they get all their time! The avatar took too long and I don't think it's really necessary. Perhaps I didn't explore enough but all the images were young and unrealistically thin. A poor example for our young people, particularly girls.

Welcome to 23 Things On a Stick! I'm glad setting up blogger went smoothly. I agree about the limited options for avatars being frustrating.
I want to point out that you can find other SELS particpants' blogs here even though I know people are discovering them on their own-- but some of our members are really into creating this community, so I'm posting it again, even if it is redundant!
Congrats on getting started with 23 Things on a Stick! The SELCO staff, including me, will be working through the program as well. We hope to have fun along the way and will offer the opportunity for regional prizes to all who complete the program by National Library Week. Enjoy!

I agree with you about the avatars. And all those male avatars with full heads of hair... I personally am young and unrealistically thin. (not!)
I agree that the avatar figures available don't represent a large part of the internet-using public. There are plenty of rounder and older beautiful people!
